The game is an nomadic action exploration game akin to games such as Ark Survivial Evolved, Subnuatica, and Volcanoids. You ride a mechanical vehicle that you use to explore the in game world, you fight large foes in real-time action combat, and you evolve your vehicle as you progress.

This project requires me to use everything that I have learned up to this point, such as programming, 3d modeling, concept design, and game design. In addition, with the help of CSUF's Video Game Development club, I formed a team to help develop this game.

Brainstorming/Planning the outline of the game
During the early stages of development, I had to work on getting core gameplay idea's developed. Some of the work included making a Game Design document and finding the core gameplay loop.

Developing the Game in the first 3 Months
Development for the game's first demo took place over roughly three months which our team actively worked to deliver a demo MVP. During that time, I was responsible for all the development responsibilities, such as creative direction, hitting deadlines, outlining goals, and being the lead programmer for the project.
During that development time, I created weekly progress reports and presented said progress to the CSUF Video Game Development club.
Development within unity
While developing the game, I had to broaden my skillset as I delved into unfamiliar topics such as enemy ai states, shaders, level design, and general game objectives. I was constantly researching different game mechanics to learn how to apply them to Shipment.
A current build is playable on Itch.io for those interested!
